VTChost is meant for small scale websites, extremely heavy use (thousands of views per day) is not what this server is meant for. you will be notified when your site is attracting a high use and i will support you in transferring to another host if needed. i won't just delete or drop you outright.
No illegal content will be allowed, if you are found to be hosting illegal content your site and your account will be deleted without warning. this includes but is not limited to illegal downloads, inciting violence, targeted harassment, sharing private data, etc.
Cats are our masters and overlords, any praise for cats is greatly encouraged. when i notice you are hosting cat pictures i may contact you with words of praise and honor.
i offer you support with any of the services this webhost offers, this includes setting up user accounts for access, setting up password protected areas, setting up your domain's DNS records, configuring your email application, etc. as a general rule all services provided by this host come with support. i may also support you with 3rd party programs and/or systems but this is completely voluntary and may be refused. i will never charge you for any support, it may also take a few hours to get a response when you make a support request, i am a human and need to sleep to.
This service is a free service means for non-profit organizations, i do allow for a low amount of ads, excessive use of ads may lead to the removal of your account and site. i may contact you if your ads is just a bit on a high side with the request to take down a few of them, in case of commercial activity i will outright remove your site. this service is not meant for for-profit organizations, webshops are not allowed. the only exception to this rule are non-profit charity organizations that i will allow to set up a shop to raise funds for the explicit purpose of improving the world or the lives of those in need.
Any discrimination, wich includes but is not limited to: racism, sexism, homophobia, hate speech, misogyny, able-ism, will NOT be tolerated, if the website is found to encourage or host such content the site and account will be removed without warning. in case your users post such content i expect you to moderate it, should your users post such content i will contact you to remove it, failing to remove it within a reasonable timeframe (72 hours max) will lead to removal of your site.
small scale legal downloads or the occasional download of bigger files (smaller then 1GB in size) is allowed under a fair use policy, examples are minecraft modpacks or save game files. high bandwith use for long periods of time will not be allowed. if this rule is violated, i will contact you to resolve this issue, your site will not be removed without warning and you will be notified and requested to solve the problem.
email support and/or access to the SQL database system may be provided if requested, abuse of these systems (eg: sending spam mail or storing illegal information) will result in the removal of your account and site, this service is not part of the default package and has to be requested.
in case of problems or just to ensure your site is still wanted/active you may be contacted on your contact email address, you are expected to reply within a reasonable timeframe (72h max), failing to reply will lead to your site and account being locked until you reply. if you change email address you are expected to inform me about this to prevent your account from being locked. you may use any email address that you like, the only condition is that you reply when you are being contacted.
